Riverdale High School was built in 1948. The school was closed in 1992, however the city of Riverdale sold memberships to use the gymnasium and weight rooms to help pay for monthly operating costs. In February of 2008, Lee Bertsch of Bertsch Construction in Bismarck and his wife, Jane, purchased the building and are remodeling it into a restaurant, bar, hotel and fitness facility. Knights Bar and Grill and Riverdale High Lodge were finished and opened to the public on April 18th, 2008.
